Happy Halloween! This year there are lots of fun ways to celebrate Halloween right here in Wichita, Kansas. A lot of these events don’t even require candy to celebrate, so as orthodontists we are very happy about that! Check out some of these awesome events for the whole family this Halloween season!

Night of the Living Zoo

When: October 26-28, 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm

Where: Sedgwick County Zoo

Cost: $7 in advance, $9 at the door

Looking for a family-friendly Halloween event to take the little ones too? Check out Night of the Living Zoo at Sedgwick Zoo! The zoo will transform into a not-so-spooky Halloween party with fun activities and special guests like Dracula! You can even wear your costume and stroll down Jack-O-Lantern Lane and visit Candy Land! Please note: you may see some animals in their outdoor exhibits, but most will not be in attendance at the event.

Zombie Safari

When: Fridays and Saturdays from September 28th-November 17th, 6:30 pm – 12:30 pm

Where: Wichita Zombie Safari

Cost: $25

Does shooting zombies sound like your idea of fun? If so, Wichita Zombie Safari is definitely the spooky activity for you! There will be a zombie bus that takes paintballers to the war zone, as well as a beer and wine garden where you can enjoy concessions like funnel cakes and zombie fingers while you relax. All proceeds will be donated to local nonprofits.

Hay, Hooves, and Halloween

When: October 27-28

Where: Old Cowtown Museum

Cost: $5 non members, members get in free

The Old Cowtown Museum is the place to be if you want to see the headless horseman on your trick or treating route! The museum is a great way to get outdoors and learn more about the local history here in Wichita and experience some wild west fun firsthand!

Dia de los Muertos

When: October 27, 12 pm – 11 pm

Where: Nomar International Market

Cost: free admission

For the third year in a row, come celebrate Dia de los Muertos in Wichita! This event is designed to celebrate the diverse culture we have here. Come by to see some amazing performances, eat some delicious foods, and enjoy the celebration!
